Madagascar has more than 300 species of frogs, 99 percent of which are endemic. Frogs are the only amphibians found in Madagascar-there are no toads, salamanders, or newts.

This is a diademed sifaka seen in Mantadia National Park. Sifakas are the largest of the lemurs. They live in the dry deciduous forest of the west coast of Madagascar and are diurnal, most active in the middle of the day, which is rather unusual. They also have a long flap of skin running from their underarms to their thighs, which they spread when leaping.
